Not much is listed in Ken Jessen's book about Wetmore, although it does say it is named for a man of that name who delivered mail and worked with the Pueblo Chieftan. Wetmore is not an abandoned town, but a sleepy little town reminiscent of Beulah. Many historic structures exist in good condition.
