Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Florence, Colorado

June 13, 2015Posted by Webmaster

Although Florence is not a ghost town, it has historical significance. Many original buildings in the downtown area have been restored. There is also a significant amount of railroad history. It was the starting point for the Florence and Cripple Creek railroad which transverse what is now Phantom Canyon road. As such, all the abandoned sites along Phantom Canyon road tie back to this location.
