Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Mound City, Colorado

Mound City was settles in 1891 near two large mills. By 1893 its population was at least 500. The town was scattered with no city planning and no main street was even defined. Mound City's most famous resident was Judge Melville Gerry, the judge who sentenced Alferd Packer.

This was part of the foundation for either the Brodie or Rosebud mill. See image 0503. These were taken on different days, so I'm not sure which was which.
