Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Wagon Wheel Gap, Colorado

Wagon Wheel Gap was originally built in 1875 as a depot for people who were heading to the nearby hot springs. In 1895 its name was changed to Thornton, and in 1901 it was changed back. It is now a private residence.

This railroad went between Creede and Southfork. It is near Wagon Wheel Gap. Its amazing to think nothing has travelled these rails in many years.
