Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Wadge, Colorado

May 21, 2013Posted by Webmaster

Wadge was literally across the street from Mount Harris. Because both were company towns, but owned by different companies, they retained seperate town names and worked different coal mines. Today, Wadge is on private property. Sections of an old highway US40(see the marker) are now part of someone's driveway. Although there may be more, I could only see two seperate foundations at Wadge. The town closed before Mount Harris when a mining accident killed many miners. See the photograph of the memorial marker for more info.
