Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Sunshine, Colorado
Founded in 1873, Sunshine had a peak population of over 800. It supported several mines, yet by the depression in the 1930s was almost a ghost town. Today, there are many summer homes yet very few original structures. It is easy to get to, yet not worth the drive on its own. Passing through here on the way to Gold Hill affords great views of the mountains.
