Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Tioga, Colorado

May 25, 2013Posted by Webmaster

Tioga, with a post office from 1907 to 1954, is marked with a row of trees at the top of the hill. Trees often grow where buildings once were, due to rotting wood placing nutrients in the soil underneath. The Keebler mine supported Tioga, and its tailing pile it visible behind the site. Along the highway, you can get different views of the site. This is one of the sites in which you can see buildings from two different angels. Although on private property, you can get very good views of the area.
