Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Pictou, Colorado

May 19, 2013Posted by Webmaster

According to Ghost Towns : Colorado Style volume 3, Pictou was named for a town in Nova Scotia. The post office was opened from 1889 to 1932. Another interesting fact was that Pictou had a manufacturing facility for making railroad cars for coal hauling for all the CF&I mines. Not much else is disclosed in his book. There is a defining historic element here, but to what extent that is, I cannot be certain.
