Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Cokedale, Colorado

May 22, 2013Posted by Webmaster

Cokedale was a company town which remained as unincorporated Cokedale when the mines shut down. There are coke ovens on the south side of the highway and modern and historic era homes on the north side. There is a coal tailing pile next to the highway which "steams" during the winter cold.
