Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Derry Ranch Placer, Colorado

Some confusion exists over this locations name. Gold was discovered here in the 1860s and dredged until 1913, and again between 1916 and 1924. Land dredging continued until 1950. Today, a few remaining buildings stand in the middle of mine tailings. There is a seasonally opened walking trail down to the site from country road 24.
