Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Copper Rock, Colorado

November 16, 2016Posted by Webmaster

Ken Jessen's books describe Copper Rock as a location only known approximately. Therefore, based on known references and historical descriptions, I believe this to be the site.

Historic photos do exist, and the town did have several structures of the typical mining towns. A post office operated from 1892 to 1903. Today, only modern homes exist at the site, and a few foundations of the original town.
